How to Perform a Reverse Cell Phone Lookup

By Harry Constantine

There are many occasions where we need to know who's behind a particular cell phone number. For instance, when you keep getting unwanted calls, or perhaps when your spouse keeps taking calls outside of the room with their voice down...

...whatever the reason for wanting to know who is behind a particular number, the fact is that caller ID will not cut it for this situation.

You'll need a way to get the actual IDENTITY of that person (name, address etc) so you can make your case in confidence.

How do you get this information?

One of the easiest ways to do this is by running a reverse cell phone lookup. Basically, a reverse cell phone lookup is an easy way for you to track down information about the owner of a certain cell phone number.

If you suspect your spouse is cheating with the caller, or if you think your child is sneaking around with someone behind your back, or maybe if you're being harassed by a stranger at night, then a reverse cell phone lookup can be a huge help in finding out what you want to know.

There is an increasing amount of websites that provide such services for free but there's a problem - the free ones only have landlines.

That may be ok in some cases, but the chances are that your mystery caller isn't stupid enough to call from a landline...after all, ANYBODY can find out the details/ID behind a landline because it is wide open, readily available info!

That's why you'll need a specialized service...

Because cell phone numbers are considered and treated more privately, and therefore they are not collected in a central database.

Putting such a database together requires extensive time and money and that's why such services charge a fee to use them. If they don't, then tread carefully as they are probably not legitimate (after all, it costs a lot of money to run and build such a database!).

Some services also charge recurring fees, so look out too - because you can be able to find one that doesn't, and better still, gives you full access for a onetime fee.

Always make sure there is a guarantee present too, just in case you are not happy with the service (should be at least 30-60 days in most cases).
